Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Switch Chrome extension and switchextension.com. In short: we collect only what accounts, sync, payments, and shared spaces need, and we never sell your data.

Data on your device

Your tabs, Spaces, and settings are stored locally in your browser — your browsing history and page content never leave your device. Uninstalling the extension removes local data.

Data on our servers

• Account: your email address and, with Google sign-in, the name Google provides. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text.
• Sync: when you are signed in, your Spaces and favourites (saved tab URLs and titles) sync to your account.
• Shared spaces: tabs and links you explicitly add to a shared space, so the people you share with can see them. Shared space links are deleted after 31 days.
• Payments: your subscription status and Stripe customer reference. Stripe processes payments; we never see your card details (Stripe's privacy policy).

Third parties

We share data only with the providers that run the product — Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in and website analytics), and our email and hosting providers (data encrypted in transit and at rest) — or if required by law. The extension sends no analytics.

Limited use

Switch's use of data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements: we collect only the data above, we never use or transfer it for advertising, and no human reads it except with your consent or where required for security or by law.

Your data, your rights

We keep account data while your account exists and process it to provide the service you signed up for (and, where consent applies, until you withdraw it). Our servers are in the United States. Email support@switchextension.com at any time to get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account and everything in it. EU/UK users may also complain to their local data protection authority.

Children

Switch is not for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
